CHADWICKThe suggestion that the nautical assessors investigating a 2443W shipping casualty should themselves have served on vessels of the particular class before the Court is not one that can be universally adopted. The nautical assessors will be experienced shipmasters, and all necessary evidence as to this new type of steamer will be laid before the Court. It is proposed to call the master of a sister ship as a witness at the inquiry.
