HC Deb 21 May 1924 vol 173 cc2230-1W
Mr. DUNCAN

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether he is aware that at the British Empire Exhibition no dressing-rooms or mess-rooms are provided for the British people employed there, men and women alike; that they are compelled to pay the same price for lavatory accommodation as the ordinary visitors, or to pay 12s. 6d. for a season ticket for lavatory accommodation; and whether he will cause the whole matter to be reconsidered, so that these workpeople may be provided with free lavatory accommodation, in the same way as ordinary employés engaged in the ordinary commercial industries in this country under the Factory Acts?

Mr. LUNN

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I gave on the same subject to the hon. Member for Dewsbury (Mr. E. Harvey) on the 13th instant.
