§ Mr. BAKERasked the Postmaster-General to state the names and emoluments of the scale-payment sub-offices in Edinburgh and district which have emoluments in excess of £250; and whether he will take steps to have such offices converted into salaried sub-offices in accordance with the recommendation of the Holt Committee?
§ Mr. HARTSHORNThere are 13 scale-payment sub-offices in the Edinburgh district where the basic emoluments, including allowances, exceed £250. I will send a list to the hon. Member. As regards the question of conversion to salaried status, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave him on this subject on the 26th February.
