asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has made any representations against the increase in the consular fee for the visa of Portuguese invoices; and whether any relief may be expected?

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. According to the latest

With the hon. Member's permission I will circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT the statistics for which he asks. As regards the proposed restriction on imports into France, I have nothing to add to the reply which I gave to the hon. and gallant Member for Henley (Captain Terrell), on 4th March, but the importance of obtaining the earliest possible information is not being overlooked.

Following are the statistics:

information the decree increasing the fee has been temporarily suspended as it requires amendment, but I am not in a position to state what modifications are to be introduced.
