HC Deb 04 March 1924 vol 170 c1211W
Mr. LOVERSEED

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware of the delay lately experienced by coal merchants and gas companies in the eastern counties in getting their trucks to and from the coalfields in the Midlands, causing inconvenience, loss in trade, and in some cases a rise in price to the consumer; and whether he will make representations to the railway companies in order to put an end to these delays?

Mr. GOSLING

No specific complaints of delay have been made to me, but if the hon. Member will furnish me with particulars of any cases he may have in mind, I will cause inquiry to be made.
