HC Deb 02 June 1924 vol 174 c900W
Mr. CROOKE

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether he will, in conjunction with the Minister of Pensions, consider the advisability of utlising obsolete battleships, after being dismantled, as floating sanatoria for ex-service men who are suffering from tuberculosis caused by war service?

Mr. AMMON

There are no obsolete battleships available for such a purpose, for which, moreover, I am advised they would be most unsuitable.
