HC Deb 02 June 1924 vol 174 cc903-4W
Mr. G. WHITE

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if any appointments have yet been made to the official positions to be occupied by British representatives under the Tangier Convention?

The PRIME MINISTER

Of the three appointments reserved under the Tangier Convention for British subjects selections have already been made for two.

Mr. HANNON

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether it has yet been decided by whom the British members of the legislative assembly under the new status in Tangier shall be nominated; and when he expects to be in a position to announce the appointments in question?

The PRIME MINISTER

We have been in communication with our representative on this subject, but we have not yet received the information required for a decision.
