HC Deb 29 July 1924 vol 176 c1903W
Mr. ALSTEAD

asked the Secretary of State for War if he is aware that the parents of Captain C. D. Marshall, Royal Army Medical Corps, who lost his life as a result of enemy action by torpedo attack while on active service on board one of His Majesty's transports in the Ægean Sea on 15th August, 1915, have been refused the active service medals usually issued to the parents in such cases; and will he have this matter reconsidered, with a view to such medals being issued to the parents of the late officer in question?

Mr. WALSH

I am sorry that my hon. Friend would seem to have been misinformed. The case has already been considered, and the British War and Victory Medals were issued to Captain Marshall's father last year. His receipts for them are in our possession.
