HC Deb 28 July 1924 vol 176 c1777W
Mr. A. T. DAVIES

asked the Prime Minister whether he can now indicate the date on which the Anglo-Russian Conference will finish its work in London; whether any progress has been made to date in the matter of debts due to Great Britain from Russia; and, if so, what is the nature of that progress?

The PRIME MINISTER

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for Epping (Sir L. Lyle) on the 21st of July.

Sir W. de FRECE

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of his statement that the interests of third parties will not be affected by the Anglo-Soviet Conference, he will take into consideration Chinese feeling on any attempt to mortgage the Ohinese Eastern Railway for the purposes of a Soviet loan?

The PRIME MINISTER

No such proposal has come before the Conference.
