HC Deb 24 July 1924 vol 176 c1531W
Sir B. CHADWICK

asked the Minister of Pensions whether, in view of the alteration of Ministerial policy in respect of the claim for pension on behalf of the ex-service man Roskell, now in Lancaster Asylum, he proposes to review the many similar cases which exist?

Mr. ROBERTS

No change of policy was involved in the case referred to. The action taken by the Ministry was occasioned by the fact that fresh material evidence was furnished in connection with an appeal which had been entered to the appeal tribunal in the case. I am glad to be able to inform the hon. Member that it is already the practice of my Department to consider any case in which, under similar circumstances, additional evidence is submitted in support of the claim.
