HC Deb 22 July 1924 vol 176 cc1136-7W
Mr. CLARRY

asked the President of the Board of Education what are the general reasons for which his Department withholds consent to the South Wales and Monmouthshire truant school at Quaker's Yard to deal with pupils from the associated educational authorities; and what alternative does he suggest in dealing with the necessity?

Mr. TREVELYAN

The schools referred to are industrial schools, and therefore fall within the province of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Home Department, to whom questions relating to them should be addressed.
