HC Deb 22 July 1924 vol 176 c1142W
Mr. STRANGER

asked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the great hardship consequent on breaking up of homes of persons in receipt of Poor Law assistance caused by the action of certain guardians in refusing to authorise nonresident relief, he will take the necessary steps to make it compulsory on all Poor Law authorities to grant non-resident relief?

Mr. GREENWOOD

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to a similar question on the 16th instant, of which I am sending him a copy.
