HC Deb 22 July 1924 vol 176 c1146W
Mr. A. ROBERTSON

asked the Postmaster-General if he is aware of the uncertainty existing amongst Christmas card manufacturers in this country owing to the proposed new Regulations for sizes and styles of envelopes which may be used for the transmission of Christmas cards through the post with a halfpenny stamp; and, as arrangements of sizes of cards are all made at least 12 months in advance, will he see that the sizes and styles of envelopes hitherto accepted by the Post Office will still be accepted under the proposed new Regulations up to 31st December, 1924?

Mr. HARTSHORN

No new Regulations on this subject are in contemplation. What the hon. Member probably has in mind is a notice which was inserted in the Press in December of last year embodying certain recommendations. I am sending him a copy of this notice
