HC Deb 16 July 1924 vol 176 c401W
Lieut.-Colonel POWNALL

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether the 25 per cent. of total marks, to be allotted on the Departmental Report as to a candidate's efficiency in the examination of temporary ex-service men desirous of being put on the permanent establishment, will be assessed before or after the Commissioners have seen the result of the candidates written examination?

Mr. GRAHAM

The Civil Service Commissioners will have no difficulty in securing that the assessment of efficiency marks will be entirely independent of the result of the written part of the examination.
