HC Deb 14 July 1924 vol 176 cc58-9W
Mr. GILLETT

asked the Attorney-General whether he is aware of the inconvenience caused to the residents of the borough of Finsbury by the fact that there are so few resident justices of the peace in that part of London; and whether he will see if something can be done to make some fresh appointments?

The ATTORNEY-GENERAL

I am informed that my right hon. Friend the Lord Chancellor's attention has been drawn to the question of appointing additional resident justices of the peace in Finsbury. One additional justice of the peace resident in Finsbury was appointed in May last, and the Lord Chancellor is informed that the London County Justices' Advisory Committee propose to recommend further appointments before the end of the present month.
