§ Mr. SCURRasked the President of the Board of Education whether he will take into consideration the fact that, in the case of large families, the continued attendance of children at school imposes a heavy burden on the parents; and if he will consider the question of providing maintenance grants for all children over 12 years of age attending school?
§ Mr. TREVELYANThe suggestion that I should make provision for giving maintenance allowances indiscriminately to all school children over the age of 12 is one which I am not able to entertain.
