§ Mr. PRINGLEasked the Home Secretary whether, in relation to the persons arrested in this country and deported to Southern Ireland, the Government of the Irish Free State stated that it was essential that those persons should be interned in Southern Ireland; if so, whether this representation was made on the ground of the greater security in Irish prisons; or, if not on this ground, on what ground was it represented that internment in Ireland was essential?
