§ Mr. MARDY JONESasked the Minister of Pensions what period has to elapse before an officer, whose disability is due to active service, is entitled to a permanent pension?
§ Major TRYON:It would clearly be impossible to lay down any absolute period applicable to all cases. But cases are being considered for a final award of disability retired pay as soon as the physical condition of the pensioner 1813W justifies, and in any event (as required by War Pensions Act, 1921) as soon as practicable after four years have elapsed since discharge or commencement of retired pay.
