France has lent recently 400,000,000 francs to Poland; and whether, in view of our own heavy financial obligations, he will consider the advisability of approaching the French Government with reference to the repayment of their debt to us?
§ The PRIME MINISTERAs regards the first part of the question, I must refer the hon. Member to the reply which the Chancellor of the Exchequer gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Ilford (Mr. Wise) on the 7th instant. The question of the Allied debts to this country will be considered in due course.
