ALLENasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he is aware that, by the Safeguarding of Industries Act, the farmers of this country are compelled to pay 33⅓ per cent. duty on imported machinery; and whether, in view of the acute depression through which this industry is passing, he will take such action as will cause the temporary suspension of the Act on agricultural implements?
