§ Lieut.-Colonel LANE-FOX:The number of fatal accidents in all mines during the year 1922 was 1,029, the number of deaths arising from these accidents was 1,109, and the number of cases of serious injury was 4,805. The number of persons killed and injured in accidents attributable to the causes specified by the hon. Member were as follows, so far as my present information goes:
