HC Deb 02 August 1923 vol 167 c1739W
Mr. HANNON

asked the President of the Board of Trade the functions performed by the Montreal office of the Timber Disposal Department; and if he is in a position to state how long this office will be maintained at a cost of £3,000 a year?

Viscount WOLMER

The Montreal shipping office of the Timber Disposal Department was closed on 30th April last, and the work of clearing up the remaining business of this Department in Canada has been entrusted to a firm of accountants, whose services are not likely to be required beyond October next.
