HC Deb 26 April 1923 vol 163 c716W
Mr. E. DAVIES

asked the Minister of Pensions whether he is aware that the case of Richard Davies, No. 67,431, Royal Engineers, 9, Gosher Street, Rhymney, is not yet settled by the regional board, Cardiff, although the last medical examination took place on the 24th January, 1923; is he aware that this medical examination on the 24th January, 1923, was held as the result of the decision of the medical board being overruled by the appeals tribunal; and will he take steps to speed up these decisions, so that pensioners shall not be kept unduly long waiting for the payments due to them?

Major TRYON

I regret that, owing to a technical difficulty, some delay occurred in this case. A letter has, however, now been sent to the man explaining the position to him.
