BENNETTasked the President of the Board of Education if his Department has informed all educational authorities in receipt of public assistance that they must no longer give medical service free to those children whose parents are above the poverty line; how many children this decision is expected to affect; how the estimation of means is arrived at; and what steps are taken to effect that the medical attention is forthcoming when parents cannot, as they assert, pay for it?
Mr. WOODI assume the hon. Member is referring to Circular 1300 issued on the 16th March last, a copy of which I am sending him. I regret I have no figures which would enable me to reply to the second part of the question. For the answer to the remaining points I would refer him to the contents of the Circular.
