HC Deb 12 April 1923 vol 162 cc1334-5W
Mr. McENTEE

asked the Postmaster-General whether, seeing that his Department applied for and obtained the sanction of Parliament to spend £10,000 on the reconstruction of the Central Telegraph Office, in Roman Bath Street, E.C., a year ago, to enable the staff to carry out the work more efficiently under reasonably good conditions, he will say whether the work of reconstruction has been commenced; and, if not, whether he will take steps to have the work started at an early date?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

would refer the hon. Member to the reply given on the 21st March by the First Commissioner of Works to a question put by the hon. Member for Carlisle (Mr. Middleton).
