HC Deb 09 April 1923 vol 162 c894W
Mr. FOOT

asked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that the prison premises at Bodmin have been unoccupied for a long period; and whether he will consider to what use these buildings can now be put so that this property may not become derelict?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

Yes, Sir; but there is no intention of disposing of these premises at present, as the prison might have to be re-opened in the event of a sufficiently large increase of prison population. The adjoining quarters are in use. The prison premises themselves are inspected. and will not be allowed to become derelict.
