HC Deb 09 April 1923 vol 162 c894W
Mr. MACPHERSON

asked the Under-Secretary to the Scottish Board of Health whether any decision has been come to with regard to the position of inspectors of poor in Scotland; and, as the uncertainty is causing anxiety, will a decision, in accordance with the views of the inspectors, be hastened?

Captain ELLIOT

I am not aware of any question affecting the position of inspectors of poor in Scotland which is at present awaiting decision, but if my right hon. Friend will be so good as to state more explicitly the cause of the anxiety to which he refers, I shall be pleased to make inquiries and to afford him any information which may be available.
