Captain GUESTThe cheap travelling facilities which up to that date had been granted at the expense of public funds to personnel of the Royal Air Force were, in common with those granted to the other Services, discontinued as from 1st April last. This decision, which was in accordance with the recommendations of the Geddes Committee, was taken after unsuccessful efforts had been made by the Departments concerned to induce the railway companies to reconsider their unfavourable attitude towards restoring the concessions granted by them before the War.
