§ Mr. ALLEN PARKINSONasked the Secretary of State for War if he is aware that George Francis Binnall, 929, Gedlow Lane, Wigan, who is an apprentice to the engineering trade, with three years of his apprenticeship to serve, who joined the Royal Engineers at Wigan on 18th April, 1922, is not yet 18 years of age, having been born on 15th August, 1904; that the officer in charge was told by the youth himself that he was not 18 years of age; that on 27th April, 1922, he was discharged from the Royal Engineers and was sent forward for enlistment in the King s Own Royal Battalion; and whether, in view of the above circumstances, he will have inquiries made, and the youth discharged and sent home to complete his apprenticeship?
