1813W
§ Mr. SHORTTOn the information before me I decided that this man is an alien whom it is not desirable to have in this country at the present time.
§ Mr. G. BARNESasked the Home Secretary if the application for naturalisation of Charles Yewdatt, first made in July, 1916, has been considered and finally settled; and, if so, with what result?
§ Mr. SHORTTThere is some uncertainty as to the name and the date given by the right hon. Member, but I think he probably refers to the case of Charles Yewdall, who submitted an application in February, 1920. That case has not been finally settled, and I fear I can only repeat that, as the applicant has already been informed, it is not possible for me to say when it can be taken up.
