HC Deb 02 March 1922 vol 151 cc594-5W
Major KELLEY

asked the Home Secretary whether he proposes any further legislation or orders to guard against factory fires caused by ignition of celluloid or celluloid dust in the manufacture of cutlery or other articles?

Mr. SHORTT

Regulations dealing with the use of celluloid in the manufacture of cutlery and other articles have been recently issued, and no extension of them is at present proposed. They are based on the recommendations of the Departmental Committee on Celluloid, which went fully into the question. I am sending the hon. and gallant Member a copy.
