HC Deb 02 March 1922 vol 151 c579W
Lieut.-Colonel JAMES

asked the hon. Member for the Pollok Division of Glasgow, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether he can state the results of inquiries made into the management of the canteen at Cornwall House; and whether the representative spokesmen of the Government Departments making use of Cornwall House have expressed their unanimous approval of the arrangements now made?

Mr. YOUNG

I have been asked to reply. I understand that at one time there were certain irregularities in the management of this canteen, but that at the date of my hon. and gallant Friend's inquiry in July last steps were already being taken to remedy these defects. I am informed that the staff generally are satisfied with the present arrangements.
