HC Deb 02 March 1922 vol 151 c581W
Mr. M. JONES

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he has received any communications from local authorities protesting against the Audit Stamp Duty (Local Authorities) Order, 1921; and whether, having regard to the heavy financial obligations in which these local authorities are already involved and to the necessity for economy in expenditure, he will consider the revocation of this Order until the financial condition of local authorities generally has improved?

Sir A. MOND

I have been asked to reply. I would refer the hon. Member to the answers which I gave on this subject on the 13th February last. I am sending the hon. Member a copy of these answers.
