§ Mr. KILEYasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware that the claim of Miss Frances Galway to the British Claims Office in Brussels for compensation for the damage done to her property in Brussels during the War is still unsettled, owing to the statement that there are no funds available, and that Belgian subjects, who had similar complaints, have received their compensation long ago; and can he give any reason why the claims of British subjects should not receive similar treatment?
Mr. YOUNGI would refer the hon. Member to the statement which I made in presenting the Supplementary Estimate of £100,000 for grants for compensation for damage by enemy action on the 23rd instant.
