§ Sir M. BARLOWIt is unfortunately not possible to adopt the hon. Member's 1225W suggestion as regards New Zealand or South Africa, since it is not the practice of these Dominions to compile periodical statistics of unemployment similar to those published regularly by the Canadian Government. In Australia, however, trade union unemployment percentages are computed officially once a quarter only, and as these are now cabled by the Commonwealth to Australia House, I shall be able, through the courtesy of the High Commissioners in London, to publish them in future issues of the Ministry of Labour "Gazette."
