Mr. CHAMBERLAINIn addition to those already appointed, a certain number of candidates from these examinations will be appointed to clerical posts without further examination; but the lists will have to be closed down shortly, both to provide for the claims of other ex-service men and to afford opportunities to the Post Office staff generally to compete for clerical vacancies.
