Mr. BURNasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the reason of the great delay in paying the pension of Special Constable Hugh R. Shortt, who was injured in the discharge of his duties while serving the Imperial Government on the 9th October, 1921; and, seeing that this man is now unfit to follow his ordinary trade, whether he will give immediate directions for the payment of his pension?
Mr. YOUNGThis is now a matter for the Government of Northern Ireland, to whom I would refer the hon. Member.
