HC Deb 11 April 1922 vol 153 c252W
Mr. M. JONES

asked the Home Secretary whether Mr. J. Greenberg, residing at The Square, Ystrad Mynach, Glamorganshire, made application nearly three years ago for naturalisation papers, and has not yet received any intimation as to the result of such application; that Mr. Greenberg has lived 24 years in this country; and whether, having regard to the inconvenience caused by the delay in dealing with the matter, he will expedite his decision in regard thereto?

Mr. SHORTT

The facts are as stated, except that the application was submitted in February, 1920, not nearly three years ago, and that Greenberg then stated that he had been in this country since 1902, that is to say, some 20 (not 24) years now. I regret I can hold out no hope of an early decision in the case.
