HC Deb 04 April 1922 vol 152 c2060W
Viscountess ASTOR

asked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been drawn to a sentence of one month's imprisonment passed on a mother and daughter named Burton, in the Marylebone Police Court, on 17th March, for petty theft committed in very distressing circumstances; and whether he can recommend a reduction in the sentence?

Mr. SHORTT

A newspaper report of this case was brought to my notice, and I am making inquiries.
