HC Deb 31 May 1921 vol 142 c859W
Mr. J. DAVISON

asked the Postmaster-General whether any agreement which may be come to between the Government and the Marconi Company, with regard to the combined land and wireless service between London and Paris, will be submitted to the House before a permanent licence is granted?

Mr. KELLAWAY

In the event of an agreement being reached between the Government and the Marconi Company as to wireless services with the Continent, the agreement will be laid before Parliament. I am advised that as no charge will be thrown upon public funds, confirmation by a Resolution of this House is not required, but if there be a general desire for discussion, I will consult my right hon. Friend, the Leader of the House as to the possibility of meeting it.
