MITCHELL-THOMSONFrom the returns received from slaughterhouses, it is estimated that the number of calves slaughtered in Great Britain during the period June, 1920, to April, 1921, inclusive, was approximately 1,050,000. For the period June, 1919, to April, 1920, the estimated number was 1,280,000. These figures are subject to correction when the results of the livestock census to be taken early in June become available.
