HC Deb 03 March 1921 vol 138 c2032W
Sir J. D. REES

asked the Secretary of State for War why the Report of the Directorate of Prisoners of War is not published; and whether, in view of the adverse criticisms often advanced, and never made good, against this Department, the Government will reconsider this decision?

Sir A. WILLIAMSON

As the hon. Member has already been informed, it was decided, after careful consideration, that it would not be desirable, nor in the public interest, to publish this Report. It is a compilation of detailed notes prepared for departmental use and reference, in the event of any future emergency. I am not prepared to reconsider the decision.
