§ Mr. HENRYFairs and markets are closed outside the martial law area on the order of a competent military authority acting under the powers conferred on him by the Restoration of Order in Ireland Regulation. The area affected and the period of restriction imposed vary at the discretion of the competent military authority and may affect whole counties or a few parishes only. It is not therefore possible to give any exact report as to what counties or parts of counties are under an embargo at any one time. The restrictions are being constantly ordered and removed.
