HC Deb 15 June 1921 vol 143 c440W
Mr. ALFRED T. DAVIES

asked the Minister of Pensions what proportion of medical men whose services are used in examining ex-service men have had experience overseas during the War; and whether he will consider the desirability of the employment of a larger number of such medical men in the interests of those so examined from time to time?

Major TRYON

Approximately 60 per cent. of the medical officers employed by my Department in the examination of ex-service men have served overseas during the Great War. It is the practice of the Ministry, other things being equal, to give preference to medical men possessing the qualification to which my hon. Friend refers.
