§ Dr. MACNAMARAI assume that my hon. Friend refers to the claims to unemployment benefit made by a number of Greenock workmen who lost their employment owing to the joiners' dispute. It has not been possible to deal with these claims pending a decision by the umpire on certain test cases submitted to him. The umpire has recently given a decision to the effect that benefit should be allowed, and the claims are being dealt with accordingly.
