HC Deb 02 June 1921 vol 142 c1273W
Sir S. HOARE

asked the Minister of Health if the reorganisation scheme of the Ministry of Health is now in operation; and, if not, how it has been possible to assimilate supervising assistant clerks and intermediate clerks in the Navy and Army Fund branch to the higher clerical and executive grades, respectively, when the first-class women clerks doing the same work have been assimilated to the lower clerical grade pending reorganisation?

Sir A. MOND

The Reorganisation Scheme of the Ministry of Health is not yet in operation. Throughout the public service supervising assistant clerks have been assimilated into the higher clerical class, intermediate clerks into the executive class, and first-class women clerks into the clerical class. The question of the transfer of any of the firsts class women clerks to the executive class or the higher clerical class will be considered when the number of such posts arising out of the pending reorganisation is known.
