HC Deb 02 June 1921 vol 142 cc1272-3W
Sir H. FOREMAN

asked the Minister of Health if he is aware of the difficult position of boards of guardians who now find themselves called on to give out-door poor relief to alien immigrants, Russians and others, who have no means of support; and whether he will use his best efforts to secure, so far as possible, repatriation of all such persons?

Sir A. MOND

I am not aware that guardians are finding any special difficulty at the present time in dealing with destitute aliens, or that there is any need for any special action on my part. It is open to the guardians to assist the repatriation of such persons, where this is practicable.
