HC Deb 02 June 1921 vol 142 c1262W
Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been drawn to the unequal operation of A.C.O. 655 of 3rd May, 1921, and C.R.A.C. No. 2/14,448/161 (A), dated 5th May, 1921, whereby furlough due to soldiers on demobilisation has been curtailed and in many cases totally abolished, as a result of the emergency period, whereas reservists, have been under no such disadvantage; and whether he will take steps to remove the hardship caused by amending these Regulations?

Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

Since the Order referred to was published further instructions have been issued for leave to be granted to regular soldiers at the discretion of General Officers Commanding-in-Chief. Special consideration is shown to soldiers due for discharge.
