§ Colonel WEDGWOODasked the Minister of Health whether he will reconsider the case of an unfortunate young airman, C. S. Norris, which has already been brought to his notice; is he aware that he has been confined by his wife in a lunatic asylum, although he cannot be proved to be dangerous in any way, and his parents are willing and anxious to take entire responsibility in regard to him, and to offer him a comfortable home; and will he urge upon the Lunacy Board the necessity of taking steps to substitute, in fairness, the father's petitionership for that of the wife?
§ Sir A. MONDI understand that the Board of Control, after full inquiry, are satisfied that Norris's mental condition renders it undesirable for him to live at home with his parents, and I am sending my hon. and gallant Friend an extract from the Board's report. I may add that there is no petitioner in this case, and the question of substitution, therefore, does not arise.
