§ Captain FOXCROFTasked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether, considering that Irish assassins both perpetrate outrage and escape by motor car, he will entirely prohibit the use of motor cars by civilians in the South and West of Ireland?
§ Sir H. GREENWOODThe order was made by the competent military authority on the 12th instant, which, as from the 1st December next, imposes further drastic restrictions on the use of motor cars in Ireland, including the prohibition of the use of motor cars between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., or at a greater distance than 20 miles from the residence of the owner. Should these restrictions prove to be insufficient, the course suggested by my hon. and gallant Friend will be further considered.
